Bollywood badshah Shahrukh Khan is so popular in Northeast India that he got mobbed during a shoot in Darjeeling recently. SRK was in the beautiful hill station of Darjeeling to shoot for director Nikhil Advani's film titled Kal Ho Na Ho. The actor arrived two days behind the schedule and geared up to complete the shoot within the stipulated time.
He reportedly visited the area's famous gymnasium called ‘Body Zone' for his customary morning workout. However, it did not take long for the news of SRK's presence to spread among the locals. As a result, a large number of movie buffs thronged the place hoping to meet their favorite Bollywood star. The crowd, comprising the school and college students, was so large that local police had to be called to disperse the fans so that the actor could reach his Toyota Qualis parked just outside the gym.
Ultimately SRK had to leave the place in a police car surrounded by a host of cops who forced way through the crowed. The frenzy of the crowd at the mere sight of SRK was so great that the Sadar Station SHO of police, C.Bhutia, later cautioned the star to inform them about his whereabouts whenever he leaves his hotel.
